The Brazilian Navy reports that the passage of a cold front could affect the coastal strip of the states of Santa Catarina and Paraná, between the north of Laguna (SC) and the south of Paranaguá (PR), with winds from the south to southeast and intensity of up to 60 km/h (33 knots), between the afternoon of the 5th and the morning of the 6th of April.

The Brazilian Navy maintains all current severe weather warnings on their website.

Additionally, weather information can be viewed on the Marine Meteorological Service on Facebook, or through the “Marine Environmental Forecast (PAM)” and “Boletim ao Mar” apps, developed in partnership with Petrobras and the Rumo ao Mar Institute (RUMAR), respectively. The apps are available for download on smartphones and tablets with Android and iOS systems.

Sailors are advised to consult this information before setting out to sea and are requested to disseminate it widely to the fishing, sports and recreational communities.
