Marcelo Branco Motta, president of SOAMAR-PR, highlighted the importance of the initiative. “Today, CPPR and SOAMAR Paraná were present at the Almirante Tamandaré Municipal School. The aim was to give a talk and chat with the children and the faculty about the activities of the Navy, developing a naval mentality in the children of our region, reinforcing the values and contribution of the Navy to the security of our country. We also started the activities for the cultural competition, with works about the Navy and, in particular, about Admiral Tamandaré. The children will produce works on the theme and will receive certificates at a future event.”

In addition to promoting knowledge about naval culture, the action marked the kick-off of the SOAMAR-PR Cultural Gymkhana, which will involve students in research, artistic productions and presentations about the maritime universe and the patron of the Brazilian Navy, Admiral Tamandaré.

At the end of the visit, the children demonstrated great enthusiasm and curiosity, symbolizing the success of the activity and reinforcing the commitment of SOAMAR-PR and the Navy to educate citizens who are aware of the importance of the sea for national development and sovereignty.

The president of SOAMAR-PR, Marcelo Branco Motta, made a point of thanking Captain Maurício Tinoco, commander of the Port Authority of Paraná, for his unrestricted support for the actions to promote a maritime mentality. “I thank Captain Maurício Tinoco for his trust and continued partnership with SOAMAR-PR. His commitment to civic education and to bringing the Navy and the people of Paraná closer together has been fundamental to the success of our initiatives, especially in educating the new generations about the importance of the sea for Brazil,” Motta highlighted.
