The president of the Legislative Assembly of Paraná, Alexandre Curi (PSD), and the special prosecutor for Women of Alep (ProMu), deputy Cloara Pinheiro (PSD), signed this Wednesday morning (25) a cooperation agreement that makes Alep and ProMu part of a project that will offer 243 free places in qualification and improvement courses for women in vulnerable situations. A ceremony was held in the office of the Presidency of the Legislative Assembly to celebrate the agreement.

The training will be offered at units of the National Commercial Training Service (Senac/PR) and the Social Service of Commerce in Paraná (Sesc/PR). The entities, such as the Federation of Commerce of Goods, Services and Tourism of Paraná (Fecomércio/PR), are also part of the agreement. Congresswoman Maria Victoria (PP), 2nd Secretary of Alep, and the general director of the Legislative Assembly of Paraná, Wellington Dalmaz, are also signatories of the cooperation agreement.

The vacancies will be offered to women served by ProMu, which will be responsible for publicizing and referring interested individuals. To participate in the training, members must have a per capita income of up to two minimum wages.

“This is another important step that Alep is taking to defend women in Paraná,” said the president of the Legislative Assembly of Paraná, deputy Alexandre Curi (PSD). The initiative comes in a context of contributions from Parliament to women in Paraná, Curi highlighted, citing the return of resources by the Legislature to the state government to be contributed to the State Fund for Women’s Rights and the approval of laws that instituted the panic button, financial support equivalent to 50% of the national minimum wage for women in vulnerable situations and the Criminal Chamber specialized in domestic and family violence.

The Special Prosecutor for Women at Alep, Congresswoman Cloara Pinheiro (PSD), recalled at the ceremony how the proposal to promote courses for vulnerable women was conceived: upon realizing the need to promote opportunities in her work at ProMu, she contacted the vice-governor and president of Fecomércio-PR, Darci Piana. He, in turn, contacted Sesc and Senac to check the availability of vacancies and bring the project to life. The congresswoman also highlighted in her speech the creation and consolidation of Municipal Prosecutors' Offices for Women, currently found in 204 cities in Paraná.

The signing ceremony was also attended by deputy Ademar Traiano (PSD), president of the Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ) of the Legislative Assembly of Paraná, and the president of Fecomércio and vice-governor of the State of Paraná, Darci Piana (PSD).

“This partnership is extremely important, it aims to provide greater well-being and quality of life to these women who are victims of violence. It is an opportunity for socialization and reintegration into society through these activities,” said Lidiane Cristina Galvan, Director of Education, Culture and Social Action at Sesc Paraná. She attended the event representing Mr. Carlos Alberto de Sotti Lopes, Regional Director of SESC/PR.

To compose the list of training courses, short courses were selected that can become a work tool for these women, explained Sidnei Lopes de Oliveira, Regional Director of Senac/PR. “The professional training courses aim to generate autonomy for women who are in situations of risk and vulnerability, as well as generate income so that they become independent,” he highlighted.
