The National Council of Justice (CNJ) informs that it does not send messages to any citizen through messaging applications, requesting updates of personal data when re-registering for a case.
On October 27, the CNJ Ombudsman received a report of a possible scam using the name of the agency, in which a fraudulent message was sent to a lawyer via WhatsApp, requesting confirmation of personal data. The Institutional Security Department of the Judiciary has already been contacted to take the appropriate measures with the police authorities.
It is important to emphasize that the CNJ only calls or sends virtual messages when the citizen contacts the Ombudsman and provides an email or telephone number to receive a response to their complaint.
The CNJ advises that citizens, if they receive any message on behalf of the Council with requests similar to this one, immediately contact the Ombudsman's Office through the Council's portal or by calling (61) 2326-4607 / 2326-4608 so that the situation can be investigated.
